Welcome to Rehoboth Farm
Rehoboth Farm is located at our home in Massachusetts where we currently raise chickens & pigs.
We grow what we can in the summer months and produce quality pasture pork and free-range chicken eggs to sell locally. The Farm is also home to our two barn cats, Wrangler and Rodeo, and our Golden-Aussie dog Belle. I’ve been blessed to live in the reality of what was always a lifelong dream for me: to own and operate a working farm and now, that dream has grown into working towards further expansion. Our current longterm goals include owning horses, sheep, cattle, bees, and more!
Chickens
Chief Egg OfficersThey say chickens are the gateway farm animal, and they’re not wrong. What started with 6 hens in the backyard of our previous rental home has grown into a flock of 23 hens, 1 rooster, and 8 baby chicks and we’re still growing! The goal is to raise a flock large enough to support selling our eggs locally while still feeding my husband his daily intake of half a dozen eggs.
Pigs
Directors of Mud & MischiefWhen we bought our home, everyone told us we should get goats. No offense to the goat people but I didn’t see goats- I saw pigs. Each farm is different and has different needs and after a lot of research, I knew pigs were perfect for us and I’m so glad we have them. They bring me so much joy and laughter and (in my personal experience), they’ve been easier to manage than our chickens! Our pigs get to spend their days running in the sunshine on open grassy pasture and shaded woodlands. Not only are we raising our own pasture pork to sell and stock our own freezers, they help clear the land for pasture expansion and have helped me gain more experience in the industry of farming.
Head of Barn SecurityBarn Cats
Everyone’s got a job to do on the farm, including the barn cats. Their job is to patrol the grounds and the barn to control the rodents. Where there’s livestock, there are rodents so we brought in some professionals to manage this! Our barn cats (Wrangler and Rodeo) came to us as 2 bonded males. They spend their days sleeping in our barn hay loft and once nighttime hits, their work shift begins!
Belle
Assistant to the Farm ManagerIf you ever need a pick-me-up, Belle is your girl. I always tell people that her biggest fault is being too affectionate. She wants everyone (and everything) to be her very best friend and she loves a good belly rub. She’s half Golden Retriever and half Australian Shepherd, making her the perfect blend of farm dog/BFF material. She can usually be found right at my feet following my every move or chasing crickets in the pasture.
